1: All boats must be a minimum of 14 ft. in length and be equipped with a WORKING KILL SWITCH that must be attached to the driver’s body while combustion engine is running. A working live well is mandatory. Maximum horsepower for all outboards must not exceed the horsepower limitations set by the manufactures rating plate.

2: Proof of valid insurance of a minimum of $1,000,000.00 liability coverage and your Boater Safety Card must be shown to the tournament director at the beginning of the tournament season and carried in your boat at all times.

3: All tournament participants must have a Canadian Coast Guard approved life jacket. It must be worn whenever the combustion engine is running.

4: All boating laws and Ministry of Natural Resource laws will be adhered to. Failure to do so will result in expulsion form the Avid Anglers.

5: Absolutely no alcohol will be consumed or in possession of any competitor during club tournament hours.

6: Your limit of fish will consist of either 4 largemouth bass or smallmouth bass or combination of both. All fish must be a minimum of 12 inches in length. (From lower jaw to the tip of the tail, pinched together) If a fish is deemed to be short, the fish will not be weighed and a penalty of 1 pound will be deducted from the total weight.

7: Catch and release. You are not allowed to have more than 5 bass in your live well at any time. You are permitted only bass in your live well. No other species are permitted. Culling of dead bass is prohibited. For each dead bass presented at the weigh in, the competitor shall be penalized .25 lb.from his or her total daily weight.

8: All blast offs will be a trickle start.

9. All competitors must maintain courtesy distance from other tournament participants. No fishing is allowed within 100 yards of any commercial nets or marina gas pumps.

10: All decisions by the tournament director are final. Anyone wishing to lodge a protest must do so before the person being protested against weighs in. There is no fee for a protest to be filed.

11: No live or prepared bait is permitted. However, pork rinds or strips are permitted.

12: Tournament hours will be 0700 to 1500 hours. Late fall tournaments may be changed to 0800-1600 hours. All competitors must be checked in a minimum 30 minutes prior to blast off. This is to allow for live well and boat inspection. If you arrive late you must find another competitor to check your live well before starting to fish.

13: If you are late for the weigh in for any reason, there will be a 1lb. penalty imposed for every minute that you are late. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your day’s catch will be forfeited.

14: If there is a tie for first place, both anglers will be awarded equal points and the prizes for first and second will be added together and split evenly between the two competitors

15: Locking is not permitted.

16: Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated and will result in disqualification from the day’s tournament and/or removal from the club.

17. It is the responsibility of each member to handle their fish in a careful manner in order to increase the fish's chance for survival following the tournament. Competitors will ensure that there are no line-ups and that all fish are properly released. Fish will not be released at the weigh-in site and must be taken by the competitor to deeper water away from heavy boat traffic. Maximum co-operation and sportsmanship is expected.
